Family’s First Professional Photos - Core Creek Park in Langhorne, PA
I recently had the cutest photoshoot with a family—mom, dad, their 3-year-old daughter, and their 5-month-old son. It was their first time getting professional photos done, as all their previous pictures were just taken on phones. This was a big milestone for them, and I was so happy to be part of it. The parents were excited and a bit nervous, wanting everything to be perfect but also hoping to capture their kids just being themselves.
Embracing the Energy
Right from the start, the daughter was a little whirlwind of energy. She just wanted to run around the open field, and standing still for traditional poses was not happening. So, we went with it. I got some great shots of her exploring and running towards her parents. She loved feeling like she was in charge, which led to some amazing, genuine photos. Her laughter and excitement were infectious; I couldn’t help but smile the whole time.
A Sweet Sibling Moment
Once she burned off some energy, we took the chance to snap a few sibling shots. The daughter was thrilled to hold her baby brother—something she doesn’t get to do often. I got some absolutely adorable pictures of her hugging and kissing him. You could see how proud and loving she felt, and the little guy was just happy to be with his big sister. These moments were so sweet and genuine.
Those In-Between Moments
While we were packing up to head to the shoreline, the parents started naturally interacting with their kids. They almost forgot I was there, which led to some fantastic candid moments. Whether it was mom kissing her son or dad hugging his daughter, these interactions were full of genuine emotion. These are the kind of moments I love capturing—real, heartfelt moments that posed photos just can’t replicate.
Candids at the Shoreline
When we finally made it to the waterline, the daughter was back to doing her own thing. No problem at all! I got some cute shots of her sitting on rocks and playing with the water. It was also a great chance to capture more candid moments of the family watching her. It just goes to show that even when things don’t go exactly as planned, you can still end up with a beautiful gallery of memories. This session was such a fun reminder that sometimes the best photos come from just going with the flow and letting things unfold naturally.
